The Serralves contemporary art museum and gardens
The Serralves contemporary art museum, the most visited museum in the country, is an essential part of any visit to Porto. Located in the grounds of an impressive art deco building the museum was designed by the award winning Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and is as impressive as any of the artwork displayed. The museum gardens are beautifully arranged: it's hard to believe you re in the centre of the city.
